What is training camp for the world race? How could you train for a mission trip other than being closer to God? Let me tell you what God has done, what we experienced and a few stories.

I wasn’t sure what to expect coming to training camp, I overpacked and was very anxious. I walked in here with 19 strangers I didn’t really know other than by video call but by the end of the week we were like family. We learned so so much I can’t fit it all into this blog. We learned basics about different cultures. We ate food from some of the countries we will be going to. We had to learn how to navigate a marketplace with everyone speaking different languages, thieves, beggars and all kinds of stuff. We  were taught  intimacy, COMMUNITY, and mission. The way they have community is unlike anywhere I have seen! They are just all about the Fathers heart I absolutely love how real, honest, and passionate they are! That is what adventures in missions is all about.

I want to also share that I got baptized again! I felt the Holy Spirit calling me to get baptized. It symbolizes new beginnings, and the end of a lot of things. The Holy Spirit spoke to me multiple times  this week He called me out and noticed me. We got to see the team we are going to launch with and serve with for the beginning of the race. I would love to expound more on there community so I’ll say a few things. The community here is nothing like I have ever experienced. It is nothing like we have in the church it is something that I have longed for, for a long time. I will write a post on a later date about community. I also received a key here at camp that says pause, I have a hard time resting and just being still with the Lord. I have hard time to just sit and know He is good even in the chaos of my mind and life. Its just hard for me to pause. This week also the Lord spoke to somebody to tell me to move out. With that kind of catching me off guard I have been trying to sell my house with 0 offers. Well I started making plans to move out this weekend and everything Friday. Also, I asked my realtor about any views or offers while I was gone and she said views but no offers and I told her this story. She called Friday and told me I had an offer, and told me she knew that had to be God because of me just telling her this story and this offer being from new youth pastors! I accepted the offer and the Lord done a whole lot more I just wanted to wrap it up by saying I really appreciate all the support and prayers from you all! You all are awesome!

  1. Wow Zach! It was a POWER packed week. Our Father is so so GOOD! It was amazing to finally get to meet you in person…..I love the memories we’ve already made together as a squad…..and we’re just getting started!

  2. It was absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed you both pouring into us and being a part of our squad!!

  3. Zach, this is amazing but I can tell there is so much more in you that you want to share. It is like your heart is bursting with all the things you want to say but you need to take the pause and really need to sit down amd listen and share what you want to say. Taking the time to sit and listen is so important and you will be so grateful that you take this time everyday to hear what the Lord wants you to know. A quiet heart is an open heart. You have so much power within you and the more you pause the faster you will hear how to share it in the way the Lord wants you to. I can’t wait to hear more about camp and how you are impacted as you continue to get ready for to leave to serve the Lord in this mission.
